Small collection of almanacs (and fragments) with interleaved diary entries bound together. The first record, by Jonas Mason of Hartford, are on the blank sheets typically interleaved in an almanac. Mason's entries contain a few notes on local events and financial records, 1742 and 1745. The second record, by Paul Prince of Duxbury, Mass., were written in "An Astronomical Diary, or, an Almanack ..." by Nathaniel Ames for 1751 and 1753 and concern Prince family vital statistics. The third record, by Moses Weld of Sturbridge, Mass., were also written in Nathaniel Ames almanacs for the years 1759-1761, 1763-1767, 1769-1771, 1773 and contain notes reflecting a farmer's activities, the weather, notices of births, marriages, and deaths, etc. The fourth record, by Rev. Jonathan Moore of Oxford and Westborough, Mass., were also written in Nathaniel Ames almanacs for the years 1763-1764 and concern the weather, keeping school, local events, social visits, list of books read, etc.
